ELO50 is organizing Chapters in 27 major cities throughout the country to facilitate bringing people 50+ together to share in and support the active aging movement on the national level.
The Denver Metro Area Chapter, which will launch with its first of four meetings on April 27, is the first of these Chapters forming in cities across the U.S. These specialized groups will speak to your intellect, interests and ideas for aging actively. Speakers, group discussions, socializing and building new relationships are all part of the experience that will inspire and enrich your emotional and physical spirit.
Chapter meetings will be held quarterly, with special-interest groups meeting separately during the year at times and places selected by members to share in physical activities, explore business opportunities and learn about other facets of health and well-being such as taking cooking classes, attending financial management programs or developing mentoring programs for business and nonprofits. The opportunities are as endless as the relationships you’ll be able to make in the process. We’re excited to have you be a part of ELO50!
Upcoming Meetings of the Denver Metro Area (DMA) Chapter in 2017 are as follows:
June 1; September 7; and November 9.
The Denver Metro Area (DMA) is the first Chapter to be formed in the ELO50 network. Meetings are planned for April, June, September and November.
John Stewart is the DMA Chapter Chair, a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and Southwest Airlines pilot. He is currently responsible for wildfire reconnaissance for the U.S. Forest Service covering the western U.S. John will plan/organize/chair the meetings and keep members informed about special activities and upcoming events, create and manage a website restricted to members through user IDs and passwords that posts information of significant interest including future events.
